An individualized and a private consultation with Dr. Kitto is 1 hour and requires a $150 non-refundable fee. This consultation fee is charged 2 days prior to your consultation day. This consultation fee can be used for services/products booked or purchased on the day of your consultation.

Best Candidate

Men and women in good overall health who have noticed spots of hair loss or severe hair thinning on their head. These areas can include the frontal hairline, the sides of the hairline (temporal hairline) or the very top of the head (crown). Additionally loss of hair can also be the result of scars on the head from trauma or prior surgery.

The procedure

This is an in-office procedure, performed under local anesthesia for the patient’s maximal comfort. During the procedure Dr. Kitto uses loupe magnification to harvest individual healthy hair follicles from the back of the head and plant them individually in areas of hair loss. Sorting of the hair grafts is performed under a microscope. This is a highly detailed and meticulous procedure. Dr. Kitto, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon will ensure your new created hairline is aesthetically pleasing and natural.

This procedure may take six to eight hours in its entirety. At the end of the procedure patients will have new and healthy hair follicles transplanted to create their new hairline.

Recovery process

This is an in-office procedure under local anesthesia. It is considered a minor procedure. It is common and only temporary to experience some discomfort and minimal swelling. Additionally as each hair follicle is individually harvested and planted there are no large scars to heal from which makes the overall recovery process short and quick.
